Every year The Union presents a series of awards at the Union World Conference on Lung Health to honour outstanding contributions to lung health. The awards are an important and valued way to recognise the work being conducted around the world, from young researchers to lifetime achievers.

The awards will be presented at the 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health.
Who can nominate
Anyone is welcome to nominate somebody for one of the awards. Only Union members can nominate for The Union Medal and Honorary Membership.
Who cannot be nominated
The following people cannot be nominated:
- Employees or paid consultants who have worked for a Union affiliated office in the past year
- Board Members
- Members of the reviewing committee
- Past award winners
- Please note that individuals or organisations cannot nominate themselves
- Non-Union members cannot be nominated for The Union Medal or Honorary Membership
