The 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health is pleased to host the second annual TBScience pre-conference, an official event entirely devoted to basic and translational tuberculosis (TB) research.
TBScience brings together scientists from microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, pharmacology, epidemiology and mathematical modelling to present and discuss recent findings on TB transmission, infection and disease. Additional focus is also given to the development of better vaccines, new drugs and diagnostics for TB.

Registration for TBScience 2019 is now open. Find out more about registration rates here.
Abstract submissions will open in June 2019. All aspects of TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment, as well as basic science research, particularly new, innovative and significant findings are welcomed.
All submitted abstracts will be scored by multiple peer reviewers, and the highest scoring abstracts will be selected for presentation. Persons submitting abstracts will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their abstract in late August. Note that decisions of the abstract review committee are final and cannot be appealed.
A small number of travel grants are available for accepted abstracts presenters who require funding to attend the conference. If you intend to request support, an indication of your desire and rationale for consideration for a travel grant must be submitted online together with the abstract. The reviewing committee will be blinded to the request for travel funds.
